About Colleen

After matriculating from Wynberg Girls High School, Cape Town, I completed my nursing training at Victoria hospital in 1972. In 1975 I relocated to Pretoria where I worked in Neurology and Coronary ICU at Pretoria Academic hospital. In 1977, I was asked to join a colleague in the Gastroenterology Department and went on to become one of 50 founder members of stoma therapy worldwide. It was here that my passion for helping people to help themselves was ignited and with the help of a psychiatrist, psychologist and sexologist started the first group therapy sessions for stoma patients at Pretoria Academic hospital.

In 1980 I was invited to Cleveland Clinic, Ohio, USA to share my knowledge with their stoma therapist who had started a similar clinic. From 1981 to 2000 I worked as a medical representative and later on as a sales manager for Novo Nordisk (world leaders in diabetes therapy) specializing in Insulin for people living with diabetes and Hormone Replacement Therapy for the menopausal woman. I started a diabetic clinic in Pretoria where the patients were monitored and given group and individual training on how to control their diabetes in order to prevent complications later in life.In June of 2000 I joined Eta Lyons and Associates (the leaders in medical recruitment). I was their top performing recruitment consultant and my success was largely due to my ability to prepare the candidates thoroughly for their interviews.

In my 6 years of recruiting for the Pharmaceutical and Surgical industries, I recognized that really good candidates were not making the grade because they lacked interview intelligence. I decided to develop this niche into my own business which has proven to be both rewarding and satisfying.

Since starting Interview 4 Success in June 2006 I have assisted many candidates to secure the career of their dreams because they were well prepared for their interviews.
